Russia built the world's largest lithium battery factory: producing one million batteries per year |

Russia and China Lei days RUSNANO Corporation (Thun? DerSky) a joint venture holding company Liotech announced, will be built near Novosibirsk in Russia, the world's largest high-capacity lithium-ion battery factory. Liotech's plant will use nano-structured cathode material lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery production capabilities. New plant design capacity of more than 1GWh, that is about one million batteries per year. The investment more than 13.5 billion rubles (4.2 billion U.S. dollars). Factory covers an area of over 40,000 square meters, completed within nine months.
