Uzbekistan "Uzi Chemical Industry" company (Uzhimprom) yesterday to the Prime Novosti Press Agency reporter Biao Shi, the company and the Chinese CITIC Group (CITIC) in Anglesey with the city (located in the Tashkent region) signed a contract to build tire plant.

    Uzi Chemical Industry Company spokesman said the plant design capacity of 1.5 million annual car tires, agricultural tires 200,000 and 100,000 linear meters harvester with conveyor. Project implementation period is 4 years. Contract price was not disclosed.

    Project financing amounted to $ 155 million: China Export-Import Bank loans $ 65 million, Uzbekistan Fund for Reconstruction and Development invested $ 60 million, Uzi chemical industry's own funds $ 3 million.

    Uzbekistan does not currently produce tires, all imports from the CIS countries, Russia and China. Tire Factory will be able to satisfy the completion of GM Uzbekistan's (GMUzbekistan, located in the city of Andijan Asa Ka) and the needs of Samarkand automobile plant.
