The largest U.S. tire maker Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Goodyear), Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Darren Wells (DarrenWells) has released to the public the company's 2013 series of major strategic objectives.

     According to reports, the company worldwide in 2013 operating profit target of $ 1.6 billion. Among them, the company's North American tire business in 2013 operating profit target of $ 450 million ($ 18 million in 2010), while other international operations, the same year operating profit target of $ 1.15 billion. In 2010, the company recorded operating profit of $ 917 million.

     The company said 2007 production of 200 million tires (including closed or will close the plant produced 36 million tires), this 200 million tires, 61% of high-value tires. In 2010, the company's tire production was 173 million (including closed or will close the plant produced 17 million tires), of which 73% of high-value tires. Goodyear said it intends in 2013 to its tire production capacity increased to 195 million. From 2010 to 2013, the company plans to maintain annual growth rate of the tire production capacity in the 3-5%, and plans in 2013 will be the proportion of high value-added products to enhance the tire to 77%.

     In addition, the company said its annual production of tires in China in 2013 and 2015 targets are 8.2 million and 11.6 million.
