January 10, U.S. TRW Automotive announced that it has been for a number of China's domestic auto manufacturers supply electric power steering (EPS) system business. According to the plan, TRW will start the first production in 2012, the first customers for the four multiple vehicle platforms column EPS systems, production at its Shanghai Anting's world-class facility.

    Asia-Pacific region to support the rapid expansion of the EPS customer base, TRW facilities in Anting and production sites are from both enhance the production capacity this year, will begin a global vehicle manufacturer EPS, initial annual capacity of about 450,000. In the startup phase, the company also plans to employ 170 engineering and other support staff.

    TRW has electric power steering system in the field of expertise, the overall system operation and the vehicle structure has a profound understanding of how to achieve consistent, in terms of vehicle dynamics expertise is not limited to the independent steering system performance, but also covers other steering and chassis systems (example: electronic brake technology) co-operation of technical experience, therefore, can give customers a full range of services.
