Dow Jones reported, the British auto parts supplier GT Group (GTGroup) with Russian car manufacturer has Gorky (GAZ) reached a cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, GT will provide the company's new heavy-duty diesel engines Golgi to provide emission control system, the transaction amounted to 50 million pounds (U.S. $ 80,800,000).
Under the agreement, GT Group will provide 10 million units per year emission control system. In order to achieve agreement requires the company to be at full capacity. The company said in the next three years to recruit 200 new employees, involved in R & D, design, production, and engineers and other positions. After recruitment, the number of employees will reach 500.
Over the past four years, GT group together with the Golgi, cooperative research and development in line with Euro 3 standards for engines. It is understood that this new type of heavy duty diesel engines Golgi can reach the latest Euro 4 and Euro 5 emission standards, will be at its Slavic (Yaroslavl) the outskirts of the new plant. The new plant will begin operations this September.
