Japanese tire manufacturer Yokohama Rubber Company (YokohamaRubber) today announced that the company's tire plant in the Philippines on May 23, 2011 held a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion project.
Yokohama Rubber Company, said the company will expand the Clark Special Economic Zone in the Philippines capital of Manila factory 40 miles of NATO, after the expansion, the plant area will be expanded three times to 46 million square meters. At the same time, the company will be to the plant before 2017 invested 500 billion yen (377 million pounds) to be the tire from the present annual output of 7 million raised to 17 million.
