Germany has announced that from 1 January 2011 launched SuperE10 ethanol gasoline (10% ethanol - gasoline blending compounds), in over 14,000 gas stations for refueling, after the German bio-fuel contains only 5% ethanol.
German Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) estimates that 90% of Germany's existing vehicles can use E10 ethanol gasoline.
BMU that gasoline contain a high amount of alcohol can reduce the environmental impact of carbon emissions, but also to reduce dependence on oil reserves failure. This initiative will help achieve the EU Directive in Germany, so that the EU's greenhouse gas emissions decreased from 60% since 2018
